SOMA: Another great site for Monarch habitat

The Spirit Venture Camp is located on the EarthTeach Forest Park campus just outside of Ashland, Oregon. The EarthTeach Forest Park is 1680 acres of protected land set-up by The Way Foundation. Through the support of the Way Foundation, EarthTeach is a place for people of all ages to connect with nature and themselves.

Members of The Water's Edge Community Church and SOMA work to place the physical and spiritual ground work for future Monarch Butterflies.

The Weed to Feed

Milkweed planted:
  • Showy Milkweed, Asclepias Speciosa, ASSP
  • Narrowleaf Milkweed, A. Fascicularis, ASFA

The initial watering was done with fresh spring water only 50 feet away from the waystation! The task was accomplished by our very own Hydrologist.
